Bali bike rides

So I spent 10 days in Bali at the beginning of the month with mum, dad, my little sister Caitlin and her boyfriend Johnny, to celebrate Caitlin's 21st birthday. After a very long and uncomfortable flight from Manchester I spent the first day and a half trying to re-cooperate, struggling in a daze with muscle aches to feel a little bit normal again.

The first day out we had was to Mt Batur, Kintamani an active volcano surrounded by beautiful mountains and a lake. Our lovely driver Roy drove us up to the top of an adjacent mountain to enjoy the local cuisine whilst taking in the magnificent views opposite.

After our lunch, we met our guide that would take us all the way down the mountain concluding in Ubud, we would be on a 2-3 hour bike ride through the country side meeting locals, visiting a typical Balinese house, playing football with some very cute and friendly children, temples, Cock-fighters, curious pigs and even drinking Civet coffee, a strange but tasty specialty (This weasel/cat like animal eats the best coffee cherries and then once its passed through they are collected, washed AND carefully cleansed before being processed).
